New Win32 drivers are available for the Catweasel MK4plus, Catweasel MK4 and Catweasel MK3. They work on the 32-bit versions of Windows 2000 and Windows XP. The drivers with version number 2.6.0.0 are available from our support site. Direct download: CWMK42600.zip (406 KByte).
Both the Imagetool and the drivers have experienced changes. The drivers now support Atari- and C64 mice. For C64 mouse support (Commodore 1351 type), a SID chip is required. The Amiga-typical clicking sound of the floppy drives can now be switched off, and we have done more work on the power saving functions.
The Imagetool now supports two new image formats: Atari disks can now be read in ATR format, and the disks from CMD floppy drives FD1000, FD2000 and FD4000 are now supported. Since we only have a few CMD-disks for testing, please report any problems with these formats!
The Apple formats (Mac 400k/800k and Apple IIe disks) were not saved properly - that problem is fixed with this version of the imagetool. Writing certain HD formats was not working properly, which is also fixed. Further, we have improved the error messages: When an error occurs during format recognition or an unimplemented operation shall be performed, a clear-text error message is now displayed instead of the previously fairly cryptic messages.
With the new drivers, we have also updated the PDF manual that comes on the driver CD of the Catweasel controllers. Please download the latest version from the manuals page.
