The freezer and MMC card reader MMC Replay for the C64 and the C128 is selling without any changes since almost one year now. In late october of this year, we have been informed that a few things on MMC Replay don't work as expected. Those customers who found bugs obviously never informed us - we'd like to point out that we cannot monitor all internet-forums to find out about bugs of our products, so we're asking our customers to inform us directly in case you should find anything that should be corrected.
The new BIOS-version for the MMC Replay has most changes in the SID-player, which is now a lot more tolerant against SID files that overwrite memory areas that should remain unchanged. Some tunes were played back at the wrong speed, others blocked the keyboard or the freeze-button. These problems have been solved. In addition to that, the SID player now shows the type of SID chip and the video-norm that the C64 uses.
Starting PRG- and CRT-files has become more compatible with this update. Further, the freeze-button can now be used in almost any situation to get back to the file browser. As always, the update is free and it can be installed in two ways: Either with the built-in flash function, or with a recovery-disk. The archive contains both files and more detailed information about this update. Please make a recovery disk before installing the flash update!

MMC Replay is available from our retail partners for 79,- EUR(*). In the coming weeks, we'll work on making some of these features available for MMC64, which is sold out. Please understand that not all features can be ported back to the MMC64, as it uses a much smaller flashrom.
